Our story
Decades of delivery
Every great journey starts somewhere. For Pearsons it was in the heart of the Waitaki Valley. Local truck driver Les Pearson founded the business in Kurow in 1965 built on a simple promise: show up on time and work hard. Those early years laid the foundation for the trust regional transport provider we are today.
In 1986, management passed to Les’s son, Murray, who steered the business through a significant era of growth. Operations expanded from Kurow into Oamaru, and further in 2002 into Ashburton.
Our growth has been backed by a multi-million-dollar investment in fleet, including a proactive commitment to passenger safety by fitting seat belts to new school buses.
With new ownership from 2025, we continue the next chapter with the Pearson legacy at our core. Faces behind the scenes may evolve over the years, but our dedication to customer and community is unchanged. We are continuing to invest in modern, sustainable transport solutions
